Fuel Efficient Cars

To optimize the use of vehicles in Ghana, one should go for a fuel-efficient car regarding fueling. However, it should not be the only thing to consider when looking for cars that can serve you better. Some of these are stated below:

HYUNDAI GETZ

Hyundai Getz car boasts engines that range between 1.1 and 1.6 liters of petrol and 1.5 liters of diesel, making the Hyundai Getz better than its other kinds (the Eon and the i10 Hyundai). It is very fuel-efficient. Just like the Hyundai i10, the Getz has both a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic.

Added to the Advantage, it poses over the Hyundai Eon and i10; it has more headroom, legroom, and a pretty spacious booth. So, if you want comfort at a low cost, Hyundai Getz gets it.

HYUNDAI i10

The i10 is a nice-looking Hyundai product suitable for taxi or taxi alternatives like Uber service and personal use in Ghana. It is a noticeably fuel-efficient car with different engine specifications: 1.0-, 1.1-, 1.2—liter petroleum, and 1.1—diesel.

Some technicians claimed it is more potent than its counterpart (Hyundai Eon) and more spacious with a splendid interior. It has both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions.

HYUNDAI EON

The Hyundai Eon is the least compared to its sister cars (Getz and i10), but that doesn’t depict inefficiency. The Eon is manufactured to be cost-effective for transportation, and transporters benefit from it. The economical fuel consumption rate is almost 22km per liter.

It has two engine displacements: 814 ccs (0.8 liters) and 1.0 liters. It saves many cedis when used as a taxi or Uber.

KIA PICANTO

One of the favourite cars among our buyers in Ghana. Kia Picanto is a car manufactured by Korean KIA Motors. It is very fuel-efficient, offering 20km per liter of fuel. Its engine specifications are 1.0-, 1.1-, and 1.2-liter petrol engines. It also comes in 1.1 a 1.1-liter diesel and a 1.0-liter petrol/ gas engine.

It has both 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions with a clean interior.

TOYOTA YARIS (VITZ)

The Toyota Yaris/Vitz hatchback was built with a pretty palatable exterior and interior design. The Vitz is the nameplate under which the Yaris is sold in its country of origin (Japan). Amongst its kind, the Yaris is the most popular brand in Ghana.

The Vitz is a right-hand drive but is usually converted to a left-hand drive when the car is imported into Ghana. They come in engines ranging from 1.0- and 1.8-liter petrol and a 1.4-liter diesel; the Vitz has a wide range of transmissions. A 5-speed manual, a 4-speed automatic, a 6-speed manual diesel, and a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission or shiftless transmission). The car is fuel-efficient (although the upper-end engines consume more fuel than any car listed ) and very strong. However, the Toyota Yaris remains a choice brand.

SUZUKI ALTO

This vehicle is also known as Suzuki Alto 800. It is a beautiful and sleek Japan-made car sold previously under the ‘Maruti Alto’ nameplate. In some markets, it is creating a joint venture between Japan’s Suzuki and India’s Maruti. Although it is now becoming popular in Ghana, Alto has, for some time now, been India’s best-selling car. If you know the Indian car market well, you will understand why they are looking for such an auto like Alto.

Most Indians are frugal, so they use motorcycles more, and when they decide to get a car instead, it must be a car with low fuel consumption. And cars like the Alto give them just that.

With powertrains similar to the Hyundai Eon, the Alto’s 796cc (0.8-litre) and 998cc (1.0-liter) engines currently offer the most fuel-efficient car in Ghana. The Alto will give you about 23km per liter of fuel.

It comes in a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission (AMT). You would get a run to your money when you use the auto Suzuki for a taxi business.

NISSAN SENTRA

Quite expensive, albeit in a higher segment than other small cars, it offers solutions to the challenges witnessed in it, like at an affordable rate when used. It is a powerful vehicle with a comfortable and eye-catching interior. It also comes with a fuel-efficient engine that does not consume as much fuel over a considerable distance.

Trips made with the Nissan Sentra are devoid of challenges associated with vehicles of its kind, a taxi driver who has had a good experience with the car testified.

TOYOTA CAMRY

The Toyota Camry is among the best and most popular in Ghana. It is held in esteem in Ghana because it boasts an excellent fuel economy, considered one of its stand-out features. It also offers travel comfort as its interiors are designed to achieve that. The Toyota Camry is a beautiful car with an above-average trunk space; it is little wonder that it is one of the favorites in Ghana and many other African countries.

TOYOTA COROLLA

The Corolla car is a powerfully built car that can withstand most Ghana and other African countries. It has a pretty roomy interior and a splendid rear seat with sufficient space to enhance comfortability. The sound it exudes is quite reasonable and less disturbing.

The Toyota Corolla’s excellent fuel economy, ranging from about 10 km per liter to 13.7km per liter, crowns it all. It is simply one of the best of its kind.
